World leaders may not envy Xi Jinping’s position now!
Though he had consolidated within the CCP and got the amendments done to rule the nation as long as he can, he must be under stress due to:
1. The Global Covid aftermath. The mercantile colonialism that It pursued for the last 5/6 years (BRI, Soft loans) at many nations is boomeranging and they are taking sovereign decision to disengage China.
2. Its position as the manufacturing hub of the world is shaken and nations are advising their corporates to get out of the country
3. Trade wars with USA & nations, including the upfront it had caused to the US $ will flare up again. US is in an unforgiving mode.
4. L’affaire Hong Kong, enacting and implementing the Gag laws may not be followed by the Island’s denizens and HongKong stands at the threshold of being declared as a unfavourable finance post of the world and that would be history reversed!
5. The border standoff with India in Arunachal & Sikkim is still on..
6. The South Sea challenges, led by US Fleets
The only thing that is going for Xi is the fearful obedience of of his people and their gratitude of having had good times over last 3 decades.
Xi maybe able to handle the internals but not all the externals. Will the stars favour Xi and China? Wait & See!
